Yes, Category ranks play an important role in the NEET Counseling.

If you are a SC Category candidate and can provide valid certificate for the same, then yes you must definitely fill your category as - SC during the Counseling process.

There are certain reservation for SC category candidates and they will be given preference when seat allotment will take place for the reserved seats.

------ 15% seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste(SC) Students.
