Hi Aspirant!
No, college transfer certificate is not necessary in govt sector job verifications.
The following documents are required for document verification in any government sector jobs:
- Identity proof
- Residential proof
- Caste certificate
- Education certificate. If you are a graduate, you should provide your graduation certificate.
- Age proof i.e. Birth certificate
- Disability certificate (if any)
- Ex serviceman certificate (if any)
- Sports quota
- And finally passport sized photos
- In some special cases, domicile certificate and medical examination certificate scanned signature documents is required.

The reason for asking is...my father's name in College TC was wrong(spell mistake).where other proofs such as aadhaar,pan card and voter id are correct...

That is not a problem as you can provide your aadhar card, pan card or voters card for verification.!
