Is duration of the mbbs is reduced by 4 months ?

Yes, you heard it right. In 2019, you the medical council of India made some change in medical education across the country.

As part of the revised curriculum, now the course which used to be happen for 54 months has been reduced to 50 months by the medical council of India. This change has been made because of reduction in second year during the MBBS course. Few topics from second year such as forensic medicine is going to be added in 3rd year.

Now the duration of first year will be of 13 months, second year will be of 11 months and 3rd year will be of 12 and 14 months.
