yes you can give IES examination but you have to give this examination in the subject of Electronics and telecommunication engineering.

Candidates must attain the age of 21 and must not attain the age of 32 years as on 1st august in the year of examination.
STREAMS:
*CIVIL ENGINEERING
*MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
*ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
*ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION
EDUCATIONAL ELIGIBILITY:
- Candidates must pass the Engineering and must have a Engineering degree from any recognized university or organization.
- There is no such marks needed for applying this examination.

Yes,electronics and instrumental engineering student can write IES exam but they must be written from electric or electronics communication branches.
Actually any student can write IES exam but from electrical electronical civil branches.
