Is IIT that much tough.. you can take an idea of my level as-i failed to clear NTSE in class10 with a little margin only..

Performance of a candidate in NTSE exam can not be taken into consideration for preparation of jee mains or jee advanced.
It depends on your interest and strength.If you think that you are interested in getting admission into top engineering colleges like NITs/IITs/IIITs then you should start preparing from class 11th.2 years time is more than enough for it's preparation.
You should start solving ncert books and be consistent with your studies.Focus on concepts and formulas.
