1) First of all complete your degree with a good score as it's a foundation for your future plan.

2) As the research is a next step after the masters degree you have to pursue M.E. or M.Tech after B.E. .For that you have to prepare for GATE while studying for B.E. as all the top institutes such as IIT'S, NIT's and government as well as private colleges conduct their admission process based on score of GATE.

3) After completion of masters degree you have to qualify UGC NET for junior research fellowship.
