Is it important to get minimum marks in every subject to get a seat in iits

It is mandatory to fulfill the requirements of jee advanced exam. You need to get the alloted marks in each of the subject and after that that by adding that marks your cut off should be clear. It depends on the students also how the paper how students performance is they take the avg marks of all the students and set a cut off. Hope it helped you.

Yes it is compulsory to hit the criteria of minimum score in each subject also along with combine total score and combine cut off is always greater than sum of each subject minimum marks criteria.

It was near about 10-12 marks ( for general category ) in previous years in each subject.

But it may vary due to exam level and students score.
