Is it true that UGC NET in December 2018 will be held by NTA ?

This is true! And only in December 2018, even after that nowon UGC NET will be held by NTA.

Yes, earlier the exam was conducted by UGC only. But, from Dec 2018 onwards the exam is being conducted by NTA in CBT i.e. Computer-based test mode which is an online exam all over India.
For the December exams, tests were held between 18th to 22nd December in two shifts for different subjects each day. Also, this time the results were declared in a record time of just 15 days after the exams as compared to earlier when they use to take months to declare the result.

Yes, UGC NET will be held by National Testing Agency (NTA) from December session. The exam will be held in computer based mode. UGC NET December session will be held from December 2 to 16, 2018 in two shifts. The application form will be available from September 1 to 30. The result will be declared in the last week of January 209. The syllabus and exam pattern of UGC NET will be same as prescribed by CBSE.

As per the recent news, National Testing Agency (NTA) will be the exam conducting body from the next session of UGC NET on the place of CBSE.
NTA will decided to conduct the NET exam in online mode from 2nd December to 16th December 2018 in two shifts per day on Saturday and Sunday.
The online application process will be started from 1st September 2018. It will be ended on 30th September 2018.
The syllabus for UGC NET Dec 2018, eligibility criteria and exam pattern are same as per the previous year.
For JRF, the maximum age limit is 30 years on the other hand for assistant professor there is no upper age limit.

Yes, as per the official notification by National Testing Agency, December onwards, UGC NET will be conducted by NTA. However, the July 8 exam was held by CBSE.
