As per my information for admission in BCA  qualifying LPUNEST is not mandatory. You can apply for LPUNEST fr scholarship purpose only. The details of syllabus you may get at https://nest.lpu.in/main.aspx . You can also get the syllabus, question paper pattern and sample questions.

This test forms the basis of eligibility for some of the programmes and for scholarship for most of the programmes. Well, as far as I know by my brother (Existing student of LPU)about this LPUNEST exam let me tell you that for maximum scholarship benefits, LPU conducts its own exam named as Lovely Professional University National Level Scholarship Test LPU NEST so that the maximum number of students can get financial support.

LPU offers 200+ programmes. In a maximum number of the programs/courses LPUNEST plays a role of scholarship and in some courses it's mandatory to qualify it for eligibility purposes. LPU NEST exam is totally MCQ type with no negative marking. Syllabus, sample papers, question paper pattern, and other details to prepare for the exam given on the LPUNEST website. The syllabus of LPUNEST exam varies from course to course and syllabus is based on subjects you studied in your qualification base. I suggest you open the LPUNEST official website and as per your course interest choose the course name-BCA on that website i.e. nest.lpu.in and visit the information tab there to get syllabus details.

Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) is conducted by Lovely Professional University (LPU) every year. It is a university level examination that held once in a year for admission of candidates to various courses available at the university.

The purpose of LPUNEST differs from programme to programme. For some programme it is for Eligibility and Scholarship purpose both and for some it is just for Scholarship purpose only.

Around 40% marks are required to qualify it for Eligibility purpose. For Scholarship purpose, cut-offs are required to be qualified.

This year due to Covid-19, LPU has relaxed their eligibility norms. Therefore LPUNEST is not mandatory for the eligibility for BCA programme but yes you can appear the same for scholarship benefits.

The subjects that will be in the exam will be of your 12th boards. So you can appear based on the subjects studied.

Even you can visit the website for detailed information related to the syllabus covered in the exam. This year you can apply and appear from your home itself as LPU has organized all the facilities to conduct an online remotely proctored exam.

Lovely Professional University is conducting a National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST) for Under Graduate aspirants. Students studying in 12th class can apply for LPUNEST (UG-Regular). Since its inception in 2009, more than 50,000 students are appearing in this exam (LPUNEST) every year. LPUNEST will be conducted in online mode only (Pen and Paper Mode test is not allowed). This test will act as Scholarship Test for Under Graduate Programs.

Extensive Scholarship: LPU envisages to usher an era of accessible and affordable quality higher education to the youth of our country, as on the basis of LPUNEST (UG-Regular) score, the university intends to award extensive Scholarship up to 4.5 Lac per student.

LPUNEST is being conducted for scholarship purpose for BCA program of the university.

The duration of the test is 90 minutes (1 hr. 30 min.) and it consists of objective type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

English is compulsory + any two of the below mentioned subject
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Computer Science, History, Sociology, Psychology, Geography, Agriculture, Physical Education, Political Science

My brother has given LPUNEST  so, I am quite familiar with the process of LPU. There are two points here to be noted.

First is that there is No entrance exam for admission in LPU for BCA. Eligibility to take admission for BCA is 50% in Class 12 with English. Admission for BCA is on these days, so you can apply for the admission online.

And now second point is after you are done with the admission you can apply for the Scholarship test of BCA,test will be conducted once everything gets settled.

Now, regarding syllabus for the test, For BCA. English is mandatory and you can select any two subjects of your choice, which you have studied in Class 12th. Yes syllabus is same for the students.

My cousin has enrolled for BCA and appeared in the lpunest exam on last january. Her exam actually went very well . As per her sharing, i want to convey that if your 10+2 basics is strong as well as you have prepared very well from the LPU website, then it will be easy for you to qualify the same.

You can access the information on question paper pattern, sample questions and syllabus through nest.lpu.in, information option will provide you the details.

And talking about admission, you can take the admission on or before 30th April as it is the last date to avail admission.
