Well MCA is a Masters degree so it is not possible that it ould be equivalent to a bachelors degree. For B.tech it takes 4 years and for completing MCA one needs to go for bachelors which is of minimum 3 years and than have o o for 2 years programme of MCA.

Hello!
B Tech is an undergraduate degree conferred on completion of a four to five year program of engineering academic programme. On the other hand, M.C.A. stands for Masters of Computer Applications. It is a post-graduate academic degree that is conferred on completion of a three to four year academic course focusing on applied computer principles and programming.
Engineering is a course that is opted by one who aspires to be an engineer. It is available in various fields like Aeronautical Engineering, Automobile Engineering,Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc. and many more.
On the other hand, MCA is focused on the computer applications. It is a masters degree. It usually takes 3 to 4 years for completion. Students, who want to make their career in IT field as programmers, testers, database managers, software programmers, software engineers, etc, prefer this course, after the completion of graduation. B.C.A. is an undergraduate programme specifically designed to prepare the students for an M.C.A. course.
MCA counts as an Masters degree where as B Tech counts as an graduation degree.
Now with this comes a concern which academic partner to choose, there are many universities that offer this course, I have done my engineering from Lovely Professional University. As per my experience, I can say LPU helps in complete learning and holistic development of a student.
Being an LPU Alumni, I can say that LPU has experienced faculties, well equipped labs, great infrastructure, excellent placements, complete training and placement assistance and lot more and that too at a very low fees and high scholarships.
The university is equipped with the latest technologies delivering the most effective methods of teaching in its spacious campus. LPU provides an environment where students are enlightened through the extensive array of learning methodologies. Highly qualified teaching staff combined with the best laboratories and modern technologies makes LPU the best place to pursue your degree.
I hope this helps.
All the Best!.
MCA is generally assumed equivalent to B.Tech in IT and CSE field as course structure is same but B.tech provides more scope and generally B.tech candidates are preffered over MCA and higher salary is offered.
If we compare both these courses then B.Tech is a better course as it is technical course but both the courses has its own importance and depends upon the candidate interest.
If student has interest in computer then he/she can go for MCA.
Good luck!!
