Is metellurgical engineering is value? And what are the scopes of this course? What is the cutoff ?
You check all the details about metallurgical engineering in the link below:

In my opinion rather than searching about scope, if you have interest in the field. You'll definitely find what you'll be looking for.
Be confident enough to take up challenges.
Wish you all the best!!
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering educate students on the verticals of physical and chemical properties of different metals. Broadly, this engineering deals with all type of metal related areas. The course covers Hydrometallurgy, Mechanical metallurgy, Heat Treatment of steels, Welding metallurgy and many more. Besides the basics of engineering, the program also provides students with the knowledge of designing, manufacturing and production of various metal products starting from cars and bikes to buildings and planes.
Under this course, Physical Metallurgy, Extractive Metallurgy and Mineral processing (these three are considered as the major branches of Metallurgical Engineering) imparts problem solving abilities, ability to extract metals and gathering mineral products training to students.
Students on completion of this course become professional and capable of assembling metals to produce materials that can meet the industrial requirements. Experts in this field are mostly required by Aircraft and Oven industry.

The demand for metallurgical engineers will increase in India as the country is aiming to produce more steel and other metals.
Metallurgical engineers are engaged in logistics of mines and mining, planning of mines and restructuring. Regarding logistics.
Graduates from premier institutions has an upper hand in getting better salaries after the college.
But later, it all depends on the experience.
Good luck

Hello Harish
Core jobs : You can find job in one the core companies in metals industry. E.g. , Sail, Tata Steel, Jsw, Hindalco, Nalco, Kennametal, Essar, etc.
Non metal core companies: These have limits seats for metallurgy. E.g. Oil Industyr( IOCL etc) , Auto Industry (Tata motors etc.), Aero Industry (HAL, NAL etc.).
Non core companies : Depending on your coding or analytics skills, you can bag yourself a job in IT, analytics, banking etc. sector like most other branches.
Higher studies : You can take up higher studies ranging from sectors of mechanical to chemical Engg where your metallurgy background would be useful.
