Hello barsa
In 2017, AIPVT exam has been replaced by NEET for taking admissions in veterinary course by VCI. VCI will use the merit list of NEET UG 2019 to seat allocation to the recognized veterinary Colleges.
Thus, neet is necessary if you want to be a veterinary doctor.

Hi Barsa! For Bachelor of Veterinary Science or B.V.Sc , one needs to pass class 12th or examination of some equivalent board with aggregate of 55% in physics, biology, and chemistry. Hence, no NEET is required for veterinary.
I hope this information has helped you :)
