Hi,
I would like to share my opinion that PEC Chandigarh is a deemed college and is far better than some of the nits. It's academics are similar to NITs and IITs. The director of PEC has said that their aim is to convert it to NIT which might be possible in the upcoming year. So in my opinion, I would say yes there are more chances that it can be converted into NIT in 2021.
