Is scope and placement of mechanical at nit decreased from last some years?

Hi,
The scope of placement in mechanical engineering is decreasing not only in NITs it is for every college, because the scope of mechanical engineering is know fading in india.
Opportunities are decreasing ultimately wheather it is a private sector or Government sector.
This is happening because We are developing country and machines are mostly know driven by codes. So, there is not need of human to drive machine and do other transportation work.
In mechanical industries , human is only required for making designs only.. and everything like production, optimization can be know done by softwares and all.
