Yes, there is a southwest university in Maharashtra. This University is an independent unit. It is operating under Indian Education ACT, HRD. GOVT. The University is funded by the trust for (MH) under the trust act 1950 Maharashtra Govt. Each educational institution works on its elective powers. According to these powers every board/university/state Govts. / Central Govt. of India has the freedom and liberty to take its judgment either to allow or refuse any admission/service. All the education programs operated by the board are the board's independent schooling programs.
