Dear Nitin,
If you are talking in terms of percentage and if you want to appear for the GATE exam, then there is as such no pre requisite to appear in the exam. However, if you aspire to take admission through GATE in the M.Tech programmes then most of the institutes offer admission in the M.Tech programme if you have 8 or more as CGPA.
Most of the PSU's which recruit through GATE, they also prefer that you have scored at least 60% marks or have a CGPA of 8 or more.
