Is there a NET exam separately for astrophysics ?

There is no separate paper specifically for astrophysics, though you can appear for CSIR NET which is for science stream namely five subjects such as physical science/mathematical science/biological science/chemical science/earth science, the eligibility criteria is passed BTech/Bpharm/BS degree of four years/Integrated MSc or BS-MS securing 55% aggregate are also eligible to apply, if you're interested in exploring astrophysics then you can qualify CSIR NET in physical science, and this score will be accepted by many institutes as well to pursue the higher studies and if you qualify JRF you will also receive stipend, the age limit for JRF in case of general category is 28 years, for lectureship there is no upper age limit, check out our page at https://competition.careers360.com/articles/csir-ugc-net
