hi jan, the last hearing was on december 6th, 2017 and its been postponed for another hearing on january 10th,2018, so nothing is for sure, except that you will have NEET on may 2018, so what i would suggest you is to stop worrying about this and give your best to clear neet and come out with flying colours, NEET 2018 Examination is most likely to be held on 10th May (Thursday) 2018 . NEET 2018 Application Form will be released in the month of January 2018.CBSE conducts NEET for admission across all medical colleges in india except aiims, and jipmer. The exam pattern is as follows:-
physics-45 questions each carrying 4 marks
chemistry-45 questions,each carrying 4 marks
and biology 90 questions each carrying 4 marks as well.hope this helps good luck
See till date CMC vellore or any CMC across India all the admission as per supreme court's verdict on NEET 2016 is that the admission to this colleges too should be done on the basis of NEET examination merit and the institute was denied to conduct their own exam. But since the institute as reappel it again and again in the supreme court it is still not clear about the future decision so it rest all in the hands of the court so I recommend you to prepare for the NEET only till now lets not bother about the court and all its beyond our limits.
Hi Jan
Hon'ble Supreme Court give the next date of hearing on case of CMC vellore 10 January 2018.
Nothing Much can be said in this regard at present. In next hearing too, SC might give ots verdict or just give another date.
I would like ot suggest you to focus on your preparation of NEET so that a good marks can be scored which would be quite enough for you to grab a well reputed medical college og your choice. And if your only college of choice is CMC, Vellore... then ... Hope for the Best and Prepare for the Worst.
Hope this might helps you.
All the best.
Hi Jan,
In the hearing which took place before a two member Supreme Court Bench comprising Justices Arun Mishra and MM Shantanagoudar on December 6, it was decided by the Judges that the case will next be heard on January 10, 2018 .
Now the NEET rules state that the validity of a candidate's NEET score lasts for the entire academic year. This means that your NEET 2017 score will be valid for the entire duration of the 2017-18 academic year, or basically until NEET 2018 is held (which will be in May 2018).
If the Supreme Court decides to issue a positive verdict in favour of CMC, the institution will immediately re-open the counselling process for filling up the remaining 99 seats and eligible candidates will be able to apply for the same.
However, in case the verdict is delayed further, or if the Supreme Court does not rule in favour of CMC, then it is likely that the institute will not conduct further admissions and interested candidates will have to apply through NEET 2018 as per the rules that are applicable then.
The 2017-18 batch will then only comprise of 1 student and the remaining 99 seats will remain unfilled. The institute has hinted previously that it does not mind letting the seats remain empty if it is not allowed to conduct admissions in its own way.
There are a lot of factors involved and hence it is very difficult to predict what the verdict will be. I would recommend you do not worry about this at the moment and wait until January 10 for the Supreme Court to pass its decision. Keep preparing for NEET 2018 to the best of your ability and if not this year, you can definitely try for CMC Vellore next year, once all the rules and regulations are properly established and this chaos ends.
Good luck!
Hopefully you are also preparing for NEET 2018 if the matter is not solve that will help
