As far as IIMs are concerned, CAT cutoff is announced category-wise (General/SC/ST/NC-OBC/PwD). Engineer or non-engineer has nothing to do with the cutoff. However, marks are assigned for engineers and non-engineers separately in the final merit list under diversity factor.
