DRDO is also known as the Defense Research and Development Organisation and it is a national level government organisation. The working of the DRDO is based upon the design of Defence systems and their reliability and development which is connected to the production of superlative weapons which are required by the Defence Ministry to guard the country fulfilling the qualitative requirement. It deals with military technology in various areas like aeronautics, armaments, combat vehicles, electronics, instrumentation engineering systems, missiles, materials, naval systems, advanced computing, simulation, and life sciences. For selecting Junior Research Fellows, a national level entrance exam is conducted by DRDO once a year.
the test is an offline test. This year it is bound to happen on the 27th of October 2020. The eligibility requires the candidate to be graduates or postgraduates or to enrol based on the GATE score of 2016/2017/2018. There are two sections in the paper- one of 400 marks and the next of 100 marks. The time duration is 3 hours. The age limit for this exam is 18 to 27 years. The application is coming out on August 31st 2020.
For getting involved as a Technical Assistant at DRDO, you are required to have a bachelor's or a three-year diploma in engineering/technology/computer science or similar subjects from a recognised university.
If you are applying for the post of Technician 'A', you are required to have complete 10th from a recognised board or university and should additionally possess a certificate in Industrial Training Institute. If not the certificate is not provided, the candidate should have a certificate of National Trade or Apprenticeship in the discipline required.
The candidates who qualify the exam would be called for an interview.
