Yes, there is a couselling process before taking admission in a MBA college through CAT. However, CAT Counselling is not a centralized process. IIMs do not conduct CAT counseling or allot colleges to candidates. They select candidates on the basis of CAT Result, academic background, work experience, etc. for the pre-admission rounds.
