is there reservation for sikh candidate in govt medical college Amritsar

Dear Jargunn, the counselling for 85% seats under State eligibility quota for Government Medical College, Amritsar and all other Medical colleges of Punjab will be conducted by BabaFarid University of Health Sciences. The counselling for the rest 15% will be conducted by MCC.  There are around 900 Medical seats and 970 Dental seats under this counselling. The various Reservations available are:

• Scheduled castes - 25%
• Backward classes-10%
• Backward area/Border area-1% each
• PWD-3%
• Sports-1%
• Children/Grandchildren of those affected by terrorists-1%
• Children/Grandchildren of those affected by Sikh riots-1%
• Wards of defense personnel-1%
• Wards of Pujab Police Personnel/Armed Police/Home guards/Military forces-1%
• Children/Grandchildren of freedom fighters of Punjab-1%
• Migrants from J&K due to terrorist violence -1%

• These are the only reservations available. As an individual, if you fall under any of these categories, you are eligible for that particular category reservation.
