With your IIT JEE score, you can get a B.Tech degree in a particular college. From that you come out as an engineer. You can apply for campus or off campus placements and get placed in a company by clearing the interview round. Now this will depend on the company you have applied for. Mostly private companies do visit the campus for placements, but there are also some PSUs, which offer placements through your gate score. Different PSUs are IOCL, ONGC, POSOCO, WBSEDCL, DRDO. Jobs after jee can be a government or a private job. This will solely depend on your stream or the company you are applying for.
