As per your doubt I am clarifying you that what is the difference between BTech and B.arch:
BTech stands for bachelor of technology which is an 4 year engineering course including eight semesters, it has various branch or you can say specialisation including Computer science and engineering, information technology, mechanical engineering, biotechnology engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering, metallurgy engineering, etc.
BTech cognate with more practical aspect rather than theoretical aspects.
While B.arch is a full time five year program with 10 semesters it focus on the subject from the field of engineering, arts and technology to the professional practice of the architecture.
If we compare BTech and B.arch in terms of placement then we are is the program which has almost zero on campus placement in less tier colleges , generally you can have good placement from some NIT and top IIT while in BTech you can have good placement from private colleges as well as top most colleges. In architectural possess entrepreneur qualities with which he / she work with a main aim to design luxury style buildings while an engineer works with the main idea To develop technology with New logic according to their field.
If we compare JEE mains exam for BTech and B.arch then the paper difficulty level is higher in BTech exam B.arch exam you find less difficulty level where you also have to work on drawing and aptitude separately along with the mathematics while in JEE mains BTech the main subjects are physics chemistry and mathematics.
In terms of fee structure for BTech and B.arch course the fee structure of B.arch is much higher than that of B. tech, in terms of scope: scope of BTech is running good in present but competition is too high so people have to work more on their skills while in B.arch scope is not running high in the present but in future its scope is good, scope of B.arch is more better in the countries like Dubai, Kuwait etc. But in India the scope of B.arch student is good when the student has abundant knowledge because India is a developing country and some most popular architecture company like chetak enterprises hire you only when you have some good skills of architecture because they work with the motive to develop long life buildings for which good skills are essential.
Overall if we talk so very good morning is running behind BTech due to which competition in BTech is increasing day by day and job opportunities are decreasing day by day, and as many successful people said that "one should go on that path where there is no mob running behind" so in conclusion both are good option but in Barch you will have to pay higher fee , and it is worth full only when you do it from top colleges, Indian BTech you don't have to pay high fee but you can have placement also from less tier colleges but maybe you can have not much good package which is much better than unemployment.
and one thing that may also help you to select best course is that an engineer is is complete when he/ she don't have knowledge of architecture, while and architect is incomplete when he /she don't have knowledge of engineering, that means an architect need to have knowledge of engineering as well as his or her core knowledge.
Best of luck.
