The abolishment of state quota is not in our hands. It is decided by government authorities of the Central and State. They take this decision keepin in mind the benefit and welfare of their respective State's citizens. There are States like Maharashtra and most South which have many government colleges so the cutoffs are very low comparatively. Whereas UT Chandigarh only has one medical college for MBBS , therefore it is very difficult to get admission in that college.
If government will abolish the State quota , one batch of Students (whcih belong to states where there are less government colleges), will be beneftted , the other will be in loss.
So, it's upto the government authorities and aspirants , if they voice their opinion against the Law with majority.
