My age is 24. Can I appear NEET in the year 2020

As per the guidelines and eligibility criteria of NEET 2020, you should satisfy the following conditions:

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET (UG) will be conducted by NTA from 2019 onwards.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

Indian nationals, OCI, PIO, NRI and foreign candidates will be eligible to apply.

You should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subjects in both 11th and 12th from recognised board.

You must have attained at least 17 years of age as on December 31, 2020.

Must not be more than 25 years of age for unreserved category and 30 years of age for reserved and PwD category.

Minimum aggregate marks only fot PCB subjects. UR- 50%, OBC/SC/ST- 40%, PWD- 45% .

Hence as per the norms, I think your age will already be 25 years by the time of the NEET exam, so you can fill up the form as it has stated that it should not exceed 25 years.

For the year 2019, NTA  has set 17 as the minimum age  criteria for appearing for NEET. You need to be 17 years atleast by December 31st of 2019. And the upper age limit to appear for NEET has been put on hold for now. Assuming that the same rules apply even in 2020, at your age, you can appear for NEET. This however is only the age criteria. You need to fulfil Academic eligibility criteria as well.
