My dob is wrong in the admit card will i be allowed to attend cat exam?

To add - Please send an email to the authority (IIM Calcutta) attaching the admit card and a DOB proof today itself, so that you do not face any hassle during the admission process. If they allow you to take the test, make sure you correct the DOB before appearing for the counselling session.

If there is any detail that is wrong you can call the number given on CAT website or mail to the concerned authorities regarding this issue and get it corrected. If they do not correct it you can ask them to send across a mail stating that this was a mistake and you can use it as a proof.

There is no need to panic. It is maneagable by following up with the concerned people.

I think there is no need to panic. According to me you should contact CAT exam department via e-mail or telephone and bring this issue to their notice as fast as you can so that before releasing the admit card your DOB could be corrected.

Thanks for approaching us. Why did you not check this before? DOB is one of the most important credentials during the registration process! Would like to inform that your DOB would be matched at the test centre with the photo identity proof. If there is a mismatch, you might not be allowed to appear for the test. The decision is entirely on the conducting body. Would suggest you reach the test centre much ahead of time so that you have some time to discuss your condition. Please carry a photo ID proof without fail.

They might or might not allow. If you are lucky enough, your efforts will not go in vain. But please be careful in future while filling any application form. Remember to check the admit card when it gets released.
