My father was directly recruited in Group B service in central government service and was promoted to Group A at the age of 46. My mother is a housewife. Am i eligible for OBC NCL reservation in jee 2021? If yes what income should i enter in the form?

Dear student,. It doesn't matters when your father was promoted, all that matters is that what is your current family's annual income. If your family's income is less than 8 lakhs per annum then you fall in the category of obc ncl otherwise you will be treated as a general candidate. And to my knowledge if your father is a group A officer then he would have an annual income of more than 8 lakhs per annum, then you would be treated as general.

But in the rules for children of government employees it is written the those whose parents were promoted to group A before the age of 40 years are to be excluded from reservation. Alse we don't have any other source of income except my father's salary.

And the income limit is for those people who work in private sector and the income is calculated by leaving apart income from salary and from agricultural land.... Can you please check again
