Based on Josaa's previous years' cutoff list, you should rank at least 60000 in JEE main. However, there is still a hope for you as some nits provide home state reservation. It can reach upto 9lakh ranks too. So with your rank, you can get decent branches in nit Sikkim, Agartala, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Pudduchery and Harmipur (only if you are a home state resident). If not, you can try the college predictor of career 360 for private colleges. Still, I don't think any good private college have seat for this rank. Don't loose hope. You can try giving the entrance exams of some good colleges like Lpu, Bennett, etc.
So you have to go for private engineering colleges like Sharda, Amity, Manipal etc.

ReplyI wouldn't suggest you to drop. It totally depends on ones will and dedication. You must be sure before dropping that whether you are ready or not. It's a hard challenge. You must take assistance from family and teachers who know you better. So ask them. They will surely guide you. By the way you can also go for some of the best private engineering colleges in India like Sharda, Manipal , Amity etc. These are the colleges for which the application process is still going on. So make your decision fast but a wise one.
