Is bams a good career option??

There are no bad courses as per my knowledge all are good. It's not how good the course is ,it's about how good you are in that course.If you are truly interested in Ayurveda, gaining knowledge about age old medicine, interested to work with herbs and minerals, you can definitely consider it as good career option.But think your self if you are joining only because you haven't got MBBS Seat then don't consider BAMS as a back door to do Allopathy.ALL THE BEST

Yes ..Sanskrit is compulsory subject in BAMS first year as separately.For BAMS first year there are 5 subject actually they 7( two subject are in modern and ayurved form so 7).1. Sanskrit2. Padarth vidnyan3. Astanghriday Sutrasthan4. Kriaya Shaarir (5. Physiology,as modern)6. Rachana Shaarir (7. Anatomy, as modern)Sanskrit is compulsory subject only for first year, but still there are shloka's which is written in Sanskrit that you have to learn from first to last year in other subject.Don't afraid of it .It's easy if you devote to do it curiously.
