My percentile was 98.6 if i dont qualify for iit should u drop a year or should i take admission in good nit?

With your percentile your ranking will be under 10000. With this percentile you able to get good NIT,IIITs,NSIT,DTU in CS domain.

You should take admission in NIT . Taking a drop is not good option if you have option of getting good NIT .

My suggestion for you is to put more effort for jee Advance this time but if you not able to get good rank in advance than you should go for good NIT.

Hello, I would suggest you should drop and work little hard again to get the IIT because you are very much closer to that step where you can get IIT and you also know the difference between IIT and NIT. Don't compromise in IIT because of very few marks if you don't get that. I would suggest you can go for drop. Because you are not on that position where you have to start from scratch.
