my rank in jee main in obc is 11500. and my rank is much less then opening and closing rank of jalandhar nit. why did not i got this nit

According to your query and taking into consideration that you haven't got a seat in nit jalandhar , i would personally recommend you to contact mnit allahabad as this is not possible if you have given nit jalandhar highest preference and if you have cleared the cut offs for this college you would surely get a seat but if you have a doubt then contact or else you can look for other nits.

As you have secured 11500 obc category rank, in jee mains 2020, then you must have got biotechnology, production and industrial engineering, and textile technology branch in nit jalandhar from other state quota. But you didn't get because you must not have filled these branches in your choice filling.

Now, as you are saying, that you can't get any branch in nit jalandhar even the obc cutoff ranks are much higher, then please note that the higher obc cutoff are for home state (HS) candidates. And your didn't get seat because you belong from other state (OS). And as your belong from other state quota, therefore you didn't get seat with 11500obc ncal rank. Because except the branches mentioned above, all the other branches has obc ncl cutoff less than 10500 in 3rd round counselling.
As per your profile you belong from rajasthan, and jalandhar is in punjab. So, you belong from other state quota, then only you didn't get the seat in nit jalandhar.

But you can hope to get a seat till 5th round counseling in nit jalandhar from other state quota in obc ncl category.
