Hi basker ! The rank is not enough to get an admission into nits, or IIITS. Even getting GFTI is bit tough. But I can assure you that your son can earn a seat in any GFTI through non central counselling. He may get Bajpayee institute or CV Raman college. Amity University is also possible. So be assure that he can get a GFTI.
