My son got 98.4 percentile, rank 12189 general category, will he be able to get nit

Firstly, Congrats Sir! 12189 rank in general category is really good. With this, he can surely get into NIT, even within NITs he can get into top NITs like Trichy, Warangal, Surathkal, Nagpur, Calicut, Allahbad. But everywhere he will not get the same branch, like in trichy he will not get good branches. Whereas in Nagpur, he may get Mechanical and Electrical.
