My son is a U.S. Citizen and is studying in India since his Grade 1. He got his OCI before 2021. Is it good to apply in OCI(I) or OCI(F) for JEE Mains? If applied as OCI(I) for JEE Mains, can he apply as OCI(F) for JEE Avanced?

Hello,
Your son can apply for JEE Main using his existing OCI (issued before 2021) as OCI(I) . If he prefers, he can apply for JEE Advanced as OCI(F) , because the category used for JEE Main does not restrict the category for JEE Advanced.
Both options are acceptable as long as he meets the eligibility criteria for that exam year.
Hope it helps !
