my son's percentile is 94.02 in JEE mains and rank 67000. Another child's percentile 91.06 rank 65000. Both general category. How come?

At this rank in general category there is very less chance to get any Good NIT because
10,000 students will get admission in IITS
17000students will get admission in NITS and some more students will get admission in IIITs GTIs so total 20,000+10,000=30,000-35,000 seats goes to IITS, NITS ,IIITS, gftis now after this ranks there is few chance for getting admission in nits or iits .
One option is you can try in your home state quota colleges .
Second option is you can improve your jee exam again.
Third option is you can try in your state level government colleges.
