Hello sir,
Since AEEE rank is based on 60% marks scored in AEEE and 40% marks scored in PCM in class 12 we cannot compare the previous year cut off because previous year AEEE rank was solely based on score in AEEE. But now class 12 weightage is added and cut off determining factors vary such as normalized marks of class 12 and AEEE score, number of seats available, number of candidates appeared, number of candidates qualified etc.
Your son has secured a decent rank and he may have decent chances of getting seat with such rank.
