I agree with your concern. 3-4 months may not be enough if you panic and stress out on this. I understand students start preparing for such exams from a year or so but if you are passionate and have a aim to clear this year then you can but again the other side says even if you are unable to clear this year in top ones you will definitely be close to the target.
SO with a proper study plan and dedicated time schedule of 3-5 hours daily you can hit the target.
Also give online and offline tests to analyse your strength and weak areas and accordingly plan your strategy.
Now that you have joined a coaching the best way is to revise the concepts when you are back home and if you still face any doubts clear the same next day.
CAT is an exam given by students in lakhs and the competition is really high and tough. For getting a package of 9-10 lakhs per annum your percentile will matter but most out of it your skills and knowledge will also matter equally. So focus on both!
Good luck.

Thank you maam!...one more question.if would not be able to clear this year...should i drop next year or i should persue any course with my preparation
You can avoid wasting a year and do preparartion and a course side by side. It all depends on how you can balance it all well.
But if you think your balance can be less accurate and you can get diverted in 2 tasks then you should choose to do one course that is either preparation or a course.
Good luck.
