neet criteria for choosing a college?
Hi Prachi
I believe you are asking about the seat allotment procedure of NEET UG 2018. After taking NEET, you must secure minimum required percentile to be eligible for further seat allotment. The government colleges will be participating in the counselling process for All India 15% Quota seats. The remaining seats of government colleges will come under 85% State Quota. The private colleges will also participate in State Quota counselling process.
If you are aspiring for a college that is not located in the State that you are a domicile of then, you have to participate in the counselling process for All India 15% Quota. If you want an Institute which is located in your State then, you can apply for both 85% State Quota and All India 15% Quota seats.
The counselling procedure for All India 15% Quota seats will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and for 85% State Quota seats, the counselling will be conducted by the respective State authorities. The counselling procedure will start after NEET 2018 result is declared.
