JEE Main 2026: College Predictor | Official Question Papers
New: Apply to Multiple B.Tech Colleges Through Free 1:1 Counselling
Comprehensive Guide: IIT's | NIT's | IIIT's | Foreign Universities in India
Dear Student!
In order to score well in JEE you should be able apply the theoretical knowledge you have about the subject in real real life situations.
So,To get better at application part you got to practice a lot of problems from well authored books and also solve previous years question papers. Because if you solve previous papers it will boost your confidence and at the same time you will get an idea of framework of question paper.
Below I have provided list of books which are well recommended;
For Physics:
- Problems in general physics by I.E.Irodov
- Concepts of physics by H.C.Verma
For mathematics:
- Play with graphs by Amit M Agarval
- Cengage series
For Chemistry:
- NCERT text book
- Concept of Physical Chemistry by P Bahadur
If you are thorough with the theoretical and the application part you can ofcourse expect a rank below 10k.
Make sure that you are aware of the weightage of each topic.

Hope this helps and All the best!
Below is a tried and tested strategy!
1. Thoroughly complete the NCERT Textbooks for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
2. Join a test series, online or in any of your nearby reputed coaching institutes. Take them seriously, analyze your mistakes, and try not to commit them again by strengthening that particular topic.
3. Solve the JEE Main and Advanced papers of previous 20 years in a stipulated time period, without looking at the solutions. Analyze your strong and weak points, and move ahead accordingly.
This will open your mind to the type of questions asked in the JEE, and you will feel a lot more confident about your preparation.
Let us support that you start from zero level from now.then first,go through NCERT textbook line by line.ncert is very important for jee mains . You will see questions directly from NCERT textbook especially in chemistry.give online mock test as much as you can to check your preparation level.and solve previous year JEE mains paper and January session too.
Hope this will help you.
Good luck
