Sadguru Gadage Maharaj College (often referred to as SGM College) was founded in 1954 only with 54 students in a single Art faculty. It has now evolved into a multi-faculty university with twenty-three departments, as well as a wide range of support services and multidisciplinary activities. The site encompasses 6.8 hectares of land.
The institution has over 10,000 students enrolled (combined Senior and Junior College). The SGM College employs about 300 teaching and non-teaching personnel. Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) degrees are offered at the undergraduate level, as well as Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (M.Sc), and Master of Commerce (MCA) degrees.
