should I do bca Or bca + mca or should I do dual degree of bca hons + mca hons
A bachelor of computer applications or BCA is an undergraduate level programme with a duration of 3 years. A master of computer applications or MCA is a post graduate level academic programme with a duration of 3 years.
If you'll opt for MCA after BCA, then it will take your 6 years. If you are planning to start work after BCA to acquire an experience of few years and then opt MCA then it will benefit you in your career as you will be aware of functioning of industry. You will also have work experience and post graduate academic degree of MCA. On the other side, it will take quite a few more years in completion of both the degrees+ work experience in between.
If you are planning to opt MCA after BCA without any gap in the academic year, then you should opt for BCA+MCA dual degree. The duration of BCA+MCA dual degree programme is 5 years. While a BCA and MCA separately would take 6 years. As the duration of each programme is 3 years.
An MCA (Master of Computer Applications) definitely has benefits. You may get a higher salary and opt for more senior roles after completion of an MCA degree programme.

Hello Neha ,
Hope you are doing good
So , coming to your question it hardly matters if take course separately or do it a dual degree Integrated provides you a convenient that you don't have to apply to different universities once you are done with BCA and have to proceed ahead for MCA. But it may happens your mind changes after BCA or you may develop interest in any other field , every person aims growth in the up-coming year and so will you. So, you need to check if the integrated course has an option of exit after BCA if you want to head to better colleges for MCA through NIMCET after your BCA. And the exit option need to be clarified at the time of admission.
hope this will help you
Thankyou
