Should I drop 1 year for iit preparation

Most of the students at one point of their lives go through such dilemma.
Taking a drop should be your calling.
If you are sure of yourself and genuinely want to crack JEE then go for it. But if you are deciding it under pressure or anything as such, then you got to stop fooling yourself as it is not going to help you.
One can crack the exam with sheer dedication and smart work during the course of their Intermediate. Studying NCERT helps one not just score well in Boards but also in JEE.
Taking a drop involves several risks. One may get through emotional breakdown, there is so much pressure and it is possible to lose interest in that one year.
So think up and decide wisely as it is YOU who has to make things happen. And I repeat it is your calling.

Hello Fuzail,
You have not mentioned which course you are currently pursuing. If you are pursuing your intermediate, then you have 2 years of time to crack a good score in IIT. If at all you are not satisfied with the rank you got after your intermediate you can take long term coaching to secure a good score. My suggestion is don't go for long term coaching work hard and sucure good score during your intermediate itself.
All the best..!
