Hello aspirant,
Taking a break for ayearsoundsgoodas it means 12 months of extra time for preparation and a second chance atIITor NIT admissions. Since one wholeyearof dedicated study exclusively devoted toJEEMain sounds very promising of a verygood JEEMain score, you may think of this as agood option.
Just think, if you prepare well for a year, you can go to iit, that is your dream.
Your one year preparation will teach you a lot.
Go for it.
Best of luck..!!!!

Hello aspirant,
Typically, students think that bydropping a yeartheywillbe able to study harder for the nextone year, get abetter branch orabetter rankingIIT. To be able totake aninformed decision, youshouldbe aware of the consequences of your decision.
Many students ask us every year whether it be a good idea for them to drop a year and just focus on JEE preparation. The answer to this question may vary from individual to depending on his or her particular condition
Hope you understand,
Thank you

Hey,
Its totally your call about about a years drop. If you are even getting above average college then its better to go for that college instead of a year drop coz its not necessary that your score will improve even after a year. Sometimes your score may get even downgrade.
Hope this solves your query.
Good Luck
