Both are having good future scope. What matters is your interests and passion towards the course.
If you have good interest in physics, you can go for Electrical Engineering.
If you have good interest in machines, you can go for Mechanical Engineering.
As world needs both machines and power , there is no doubt that both have good future scope.
Both branches go hand in hand in practical.

Electrical engineers probably have the toughest courses too because they involve the most physics as well as a significant amount of programming. As per my knowledge electrical engineers that can build and program a robot, but very few computer science majors that can build a robot and very few mechanical engineers that can program a robot.
So if you want to work for your salary but be in high demand, EE is the place. If you are better at dealing with things you can touch and see, ME is much better.
