1-
The cutoff is higher than your rank.
Because Phase 1 counselling cut-offs typically fall between
2000 and 2500
2-
Limited seat availability in your preferred stream.
Because higher-ranked candidates would fill your preferred branch before your turn.
Phase 2 counselling is likely to take place in June; you may still secure a seat if you modify your preferences.
