You will need to tell which course you are aspiring for and appeared in JAM for me to give you an exact idea as to your chances of getting an admission in NIT.

However, here is a basic idea of all the courses on which admission in ST category was offered below or at the score (16.33) last year in NIT.

• Mathematics: Last year, the lowest marks in ST category which got admission in Mathematics in NIT was 10.05 and got admission in NIT Rourkela.
• Chemistry: Last year, the lowest marks in ST category which got admission in Chemistry in NIT was 11.70 and got admission in NIT Durgapur.
• Physics: Last year, the lowest marks in ST category which got admission in Physics in NIT was 7.70 and got admission in NIT Jalandhar.

So, depending on which course you have appeared for, you do stand a chance. However, note that the closing ranks and score vary every year depending upon several factors like the number of aspirants, difficulty level of exam, etc.
