Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (JAM) is the national level exam for admission to M.Sc and other post-bachelor degree & dual degree programmes at IITs
The JAM exam is gateway for admission to integrated Ph.D programme at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) & IITs. IIT, Bombay is the organizing institute for JAM 2018 examination.
So I am not sure about the NIT because JAM is conducted to get admission at IIT and IISc
