Sir, I studied VI Class at Gujarat, from VII class to Intermediate studied at A.P. Due to this reason i may go to non local quota on EAMCET councelling , kindly give me the answer and solution please. sai pragna.
Pragna, this is the official article that defines Local and Non local status of Candidates appearing for entrance exams in AP. This also applies for AP EAMCET. To be a local candidate, you should have studied in any area local to AU/OU//SVU for a consecutive period of 4 years including the highest qualification for the entrance examination in question. So to fulfil this criteria, you should belong to AP and then should have studied in AP for 4 consecutive areas in SVU/OU/AU to be considered local for that area. For being considered under Non Local Category, you should have studied for a period not less than 7 years consecutively. If you have studied from 8th to 12th, then that is 6 years and so unfortunately you do not qualify for Non Local Quota.
