Hey!
Yes, the student will be eligible.
As per the new NEET 2018 eligibility rules, candidates will be required to undertake 2 years of regular and continuous study of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English in Classes 11 and 12 and clear Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum aggregate of 50% (40% for reserved category candidates) apart from passing in English.
So if a student repeated Class XI but completed Class XII in the next year itself, ie. completed Classes XI and XII in consecutive academic years with the aforementioned subjects in both, then the student is eligible.
Hope this helps!
